Do You Believe in the Impossible?
For with God nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:37)
Every born-again believer has a secret power called prayer. When we pray, we mentally step into the spiritual realm of Heaven and bring our needs and concerns before the King of Glory. God has promised to hear our requests and answer. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” (1 John 5:14-15.)
Power can be thought of as force or energy that is exerted towards something or someone to bring about an action…fervent and heartfelt prayer takes energy- it is a pouring out of our very souls before Almighty God; but the question that we each must answer is, do we believe that God will do it? “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6.)
Everything reverts to one word – faith. Faith means trusting and relying on God even when we cannot see the outcome. It is believing in the unseen and having assurance in God’s promises. Scripture tells us how this is possible—Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
My friends, if we believe in God and that He is the Creator of Heaven and Earth-with whom all things are possible, then every promise in His Word from Genesis to Revelation is true; and because He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, we can come before Him in prayer, confident that anything that we ask in acccordance to His divine will-is already done! “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” (Matthew 7:7.)
What is heavy on your heart today- do you believe- then trust as God’s faithful servant Job did in the midst of dire circumstances, and stated: “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withheld from thee.” ( Job 42:2.) Praise God, believe it and claim it…there is absolutely nothing impossible with our Great and Almighty God!
May God’s amazing grace, boundless love, and endless mercy surround, strengthen, and empower us all now and always. Trust Him completely and walk in victory, knowing nothing is impossible with our Great and Almighty God.
