Seeking God

Seeking God

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

The safest place for any believer is the center of God’s will. As born-again believers, our relationship with God is intimate and personal. John 10:27 tells us, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” God reveals His will to His children; when He speaks, we recognize His voice and follow.

God’s eternal power and divine nature are seen and understood in His Word and through creation, giving evidence of His glory. The Word of God is our guiding light: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105.

We should make everything in our lives a matter of prayer. When we seek Him wholeheartedly, He will answer: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13.

If we really want to know God’s will, we should first humbly go before Him in prayer, seeking and asking for His wisdom and direction with a yielded spirit; one that is ready to hear a word from the Lord, and follow where He leads. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

In this world, there are so many distractions to pull us in different directions that appear to be right, but we have our constant companion, the Holy Spirit living within us and guiding us in God’s divine will. “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said” John 14:26. It is our responsibility to listen, follow, and obey.

The more we pray, study, and follow His lead, the more our lives reflect His glory, grace, peace, and blessings. The road is not always easy, but God promises to provide, protect, and guide us through every circumstance of life by His divine counsel. We can rest in the knowledge of His unconditional love and unfailing mercy!

So, my friends, in all things that concern our hearts, let us come boldly before His throne of grace. Ask Him specifically for guidance and provision for our needs, and willfully wait for His response.  Faithfully trust in His promises to do more than we can imagine as we strive to walk in faith. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20.  He is more than able!

God’s amazing grace and abundant blessings be with you all!
