Fully Rely on God! (F.R.O.G.)
“Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:” Isaiah 26:4.
A while back, I stopped by a yogurt shop with a unique name: F.R.O.G, which means Fully Rely on God. It was a wonderful reminder to trust God no matter what we face. As Scripture says, “Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:” Isaiah 26:4.
As God’s beloved children, we can find peace, joy, and comfort when we remember that God is:
- Omniscient: He knows everything about us. “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5.
- Omnipresent: There is nowhere we can go where He is not. He is always with us. “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:7-10.
- Omnipotent: He is sovereign and Lord over all. He has all power, and nothing is impossible for God! “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18.
- True and Faithful= He cannot lie. As humans, we sometimes fail or break our promises. But God will never leave a promise unfulfilled- He is true and faithful. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.
- Unchangeable– And praise be to God in that He doesn’t change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore- “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6.
My Friends, let’s trust His promises. He never fails… we can fully rely on God! “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20.
God’s blessings and peace be with you all!
