“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;  2 Corinthians 1:3.

In times like these, an uplifting word, prayer, or kind deed is needed to guide us along our way. But there is nothing greater than the comfort, peace, and strength that we receive from the Lord; praise God that absolutely nobody can do me like Jesus- my friends, there is sweet peace and a wonderful rest to be found at the foot of the cross! “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. 

Jesus is our safe place and Comforter in all our trials and tribulations. 2 Corinthians 1:4 states that blessings and honor go to Him, the God of all comfort and our Deliverer! “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3.

So, when the cares of this life, or circumstances beyond your control, begin to wear you down… remember that it is only for a season… find consolation in knowing that you’re not alone. We’re all going through something. 

So let us also take the time to share an encouraging word, send a note or text, or drop a card in the mail – to encourage someone who may be feeling weak and weary under life’s burdens. 

And above all, let us keep our minds on Jesus, humbly acknowledging His loving plans to work things out and keep us safe through all of our trials and tribulations. 

Remember J-E-S-U-S is the lover and comforter of our souls!

J-esus brings me here by His will in this strait place; in that will I rejoice.

E-ven here He will keep me “in His love” and give me “grace and glory”

S-urely, He will make the trial “a blessing.” Teaching me lessons He wants me to learn.

U-nder the trial I will be quiet; for in His good time He will bring me out. How and when, only He knows best.

S-o, then I am here by God’s appointment, in His keeping, under His training, for His time, that I may glorify Him, and comfort others.    -Unknown.

My friends… there is purpose in our pain…Romans 8:28 holds true now and forever. Find comfort in the word of the Lord: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

May God’s grace give you strength and keep you in perfect peace, now and always!
