In science we learn that we inherit our DNA from our mother and father. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a molecule that contains the biological instructions that make each species unique. DNA, along with the instructions it contains, is passed from adult organisms to their offspring during reproduction. -Wikipedia

Our Heavenly Father has so miraculously created the human body to sustain, replica and supply all that it needs for survival. That is both true physically and spiritually. Every born-again believer also has been re-created with DNA- the Word of God . . . it contains the spiritual instructions that make us unique!

Wherein we are so miraculously created, there are times when things inhibit the process of growth. There can be biological occurrences that cause diseases and other illness in the body, but there are also outward influences as well; the choices that we make with the things that we put into our bodies, like food, smoking etc. can also cause negative changes.

The apostle Paul in Ephesians chapter 4 admonishes the saints to grow up and be influenced by the Word, in Christ…“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:16

When we speak the truth in love, we begin to grow in maturity, taking on the character of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we speak the truth, we expose error, like a light shining in a dark place. The Word of God guides us in the darkest of night. So, truth then exposes error, trickery, craftiness, and deception of the enemy. It calms and settles, guides, and directs us in the will of God.

It is imperative that we vigilantly seek and immerse ourselves in the Word of God; with it we can quench all the fiery darts of the devil and easily recognize the landmines that he so cunningly set in our paths. Remember that we are equipped and nourished with our spiritual DNA from our loving and Almighty God… let us “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” 1 Peter 2:2
