Seeking God

Seeking God

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

The safest place to be is right in the center of God’s will. Every born-again believer has an intimate relationship with God. The word tells us in John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” God has always made Himself known to His beloved children; when He speaks, we know His voice and must follow where He leads.

God’s eternal power and divine nature are clearly seen, heard, and understood in His Word and by the things that He has made that give us evidence of His glory.  The Word of God is the light that guides us on this Christian journey. . . “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105.

We should make everything in our lives a matter of prayer. When we seek Him wholeheartedly, He will answer; “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13. If we desire to really know and follow in the will of God, we should first humbly go before Him in prayer seeking and asking for His wisdom and direction with a yielded spirit; one that is ready to hear a word from the Lord “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

In this world, there are so many distractions to pull us in different directions that appear to be right; but we have our constant companion, the Holy Spirit living within us and guiding us in God’s divine will. “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said” John14:26. It is our responsibility to listen, follow and obey.

The more that we pray, study, and follow in the path that He leads, we will find that our lives will become evidence of His glory, grace, peace, and innumerous blessings. No one said it would be an easy road…but God promised to provide for all our needs, protect and keep us safe in His arms as we travel through this foreign land… every circumstance wither favorable or unfavorable is guided by the divine counsel of His will and we can rest in the knowledge that He loves us unconditionally.

So, my friends, let us come boldly before His throne of grace, seeking, and asking for whatever we need this day…He will answer and go far beyond what we can possibly imagine “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20.

God’s amazing grace and abundant blessings be with you all!
