My Precious Jewels

My Precious Jewels

“And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.” Malachi 3:17

Regardless to social, economic, or racial status, there are only two categories that we fall in that that matter; individuals who are either lost or saved for all eternity. God is faithful to His promises and one day He will fulfill His promise to gather His complete Church unto Himself. God says, “And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.”

In life we experience the joy of shared love, peace, and bonding relationships; we also encounter sadness, heartache. and separation. But there is absolutely nothing that can compare to what God has instore for His beloved children… “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9.

Malachi chapter three gives a contrast of those who found themselves out of the Ark of Safety and those who were the beloved children of God; God’s children were characterized as a “special treasure” or “my jewels.” The children of Israel were chosen above all nations, to be set aside as a special people, unique and belonging to God, they were to show the world the one true and living God!

God has not changed, and He is still calling His special treasure, which category do you fall in lost or saved? “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6; through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ our Lord, every born-again believer is God’s special treasure and “spared” by Him from the evil of this world and the day of judgment; “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” 1 Peter 2:9.

Anything that we value as precious, is a prized possession, guarded and kept safe. It is engraved in our minds and hearts. Praise God that is how His beloved children are…a peculiar people, His jewels…shining bright lights of His glory! Christ died on that old rugged cross that we would be spared eternal damnation and total separation from God.  Aren’t you glad this morning, to be wrap up, tied up and tangled all up in Jesus… regardless to what we encounter in this life; we are called the apple of His eye, guarded, and kept safe now and forever! “For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.” Zechariah 2:8

My friends, let us walk in the peace of knowing that we are His precious jewels and nothing and no one can remove us out of His protective and loving care! “My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” John 10:29
