A Ring of Fire Around Us

A Ring of Fire Around Us

“For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.” Zechariah 2:5.

A virus is something that is invisible to the natural eye, but still has immense potential to destroy. The truth is deadly viruses have been around this world long before any of us came into existence. God has given medical science the knowledge and ability to fight against all type of diseases and maladies that attack our physical bodies. But our confidence and faith have to lie in the One who state in Zechariah 2:5 “For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.”

The Covid- 19 virus has plagued our world for almost two years now; and has mutated into yet another variant; as before, each one has intensified in strength and stability that exceeds the original; when will it end – who will find the cure? Man will not be able to supply those answers until Almighty God gives the knowledge…He alone is the final authority “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” Romans 14:11.

Our hope is in God…all of His beloved children can rest in His peace and protection. It is just as true today as it was over two thousand years ago that God provides, protects, and loves us. In the wilderness God protected the children of Israel by a cloud in the day and a pillow of fire at night. “For the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.” Exodus 40:38. His divine presence was then, as it is now with all of His beloved children. So, regardless to what comes our way in the form of sickness, disease, natural disasters…God has divine providence through it all; know that He still has a fence all around those who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb!

Whenever we gather together, holiday season or not, let us pray for His safety and protection to guide our thoughts and actions. Let us take responsibility for ourselves and those most vulnerable, trusting in the power of God to keep us all safe in His arms of protection. My friends, He knows, cares and He alone is the ring of fire around us.

Let us focus on this, regardless to our apprehensions in this life- because we all have them, there is absolutely nothing too hard for God, it does not matter whether it is Covid-19 Omicron, Delta or any other physical or mental illness, financial devastation, dysfunctional relationships or whatever will be…God has it all in His hands…and as my brother Rev. Thomas Staples stated, we can trust in His process!

God will take care of us and one day, when He says time out, all of His children will live in a land where there is no more sickness and pain; but until then, rest in the assurance, that He is closer than the very air that we breathe, and we are covered beneath His wings of love. “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” Psalm 91:4.

God blessings of peace, love and protection be with us all.
