Walking by Faith

Walking by Faith

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

There was young woman who walked alone home each day, so the story goes; and a young man desired to walk with her, but she refused each time; of course, he was feeling rejected, especially since she walked alone…however, her response to his inquisition as to why she refused was… “I am never alone.”

What a beautiful testimony of faith; regardless to where this young woman walked…she knew that the Lord was with her each step of the way. Are we so faithful to cling to the knowledge that no matter what we are never alone? The promises of God are faithful and true, He spoke these words to His disciples which are just as true for us at this very moment… “and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20b.

As we walk this journey of life, regardless to the twist and turns that we must take…remember that we are never alone. Our Comforter lives within and will keep us in perfect peace of mind and heart during the darkest areas along the way; that is when He carries us safely through. David expressed it with these comforting words to our souls “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4.

Wherever we must walk today, let us allow Him to lead the way, His grace is sufficient! “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We walk by faith and not some whimsical thought or fancy…but of a proven faith of all that God has done in ages past, and in our own lives from the moment of conception…I am a living testimony to His amazing grace and keeping power…so today as I travel along this journey of life…I am like the young woman, I will cling to the comforting knowledge that “I am never alone!” To God be the glory we have come this far by faith leaning on the LORD! “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

We’ve come this far by faith

Leaning on the Lord

Trusting in His holy word

He’s never failed us yet

He never will

Oh, oh, oh, can’t turn around

We’ve come this far by faith

God’s grace, peace and love be with us all!
