God’s Providential Care

God’s Providential Care

“I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15

Every circumstance that we encounter is under the providential care of God. Many things happen that we are oblivious to the occurrence and outcome; but as His beloved children we will ultimately see the working of God in and through it all. Romans 8:28 is our constant reminder “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

I believe and know by experience that faith in God brings those things that are impossible to see, or invisible to our natural eyes, into reality through spiritual visibility. The Holy Spirit will enlighten our understanding to see how God works through every circumstance to bring us to His divine will and purpose; it is such a blessing and spiritual assurance when we receive the sweet peace of the Lord, during trials and tribulations as we walk this journey of life.

We can hold fast to these comforting words. . . “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalm 37:23. Every born-again believer has a plan and direction set by God; we have been created for His workmanship, conduits of His love, peace, and power. No matter what is occurring in our lives today… we can rest assured that absolutely nothing and no one can thwart the plans of God for His dear children.

We are here this day my friends, not be chance or circumstance; but because God still has a divine purpose for us in this life . . .  therefore, it is imperative that we seek to walk faithful to our calling; life can be a hard road to travel at times, and the Apostle Paul admonished us…” For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

But praise God, the word of the Lord also tells us to have faith, be watchful and to remain steadfast in all things “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13. It is in toughest of times that we must tie that proverbial knot at the end of our rope and just hold on with all we got!

The Lord God is Almighty, omniscient, and omnipotent, He lives forever- and He watches over every last one of His beloved children; there is absolutely nothing and no one who can pluck us out of His hands! “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.

As born-again believers, we are the sheep of His pasture, He is the Good Shepherd, the One who laid down His life for us… And if He loved us enough to suffer an excruciating death on Calvary’s cross one Friday afternoon, for the sins of this whole world, so that we may have the right to eternal life; and the good news is that He got up out of the grave early on the third day morning with all power in His hands… and He lives forever! So, want He protect, guide, and provide all that we need in this life? Yes, He willHe is lovingly taking care of us!

So, my friends, stay strong and encouraged… we are safe under our Master’s providential care and love; and as Job stated, “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10. And so shall we all!

God blessings of love, and amazing grace be with us all!
