Ordered by the Lord

Ordered by the Lord

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalm 37:23.

The safest place to be is in the will of God. The road that we travel may not always be easy, but when God designs the pathway… it is the best laid plan for us. My friends, God is doing something far greater in our lives than we can imagine. When we pray for Him to order our steps and to be used for His glory; He is faithful and just to provide all that we need. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalm 37:23.

However, there are circumstances that we often find ourselves, and wonder when will God come through with deliverance… but can you envision being enslaved and oppressed for seventy years?! Jeremiah 20:11 states: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you and expected end.” This verse was spoken to the children of Israel when they had been taken captives in Babylonian; God promised to prosper them right during their captivity and He would still bring deliverance and return them to their homeland…but after seventy years! This timeline was certainly shocking and not what they wanted to hear!

Just like the Israelites, we all want a right now deliverance…and yes, God can step in and deliver instantaneously if that is His will…but many times, God is growing, stretching, and teaching us, He will give us the peace that we need to endure any given circumstance; and if we just hold on, He will deliver in His own time. “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” Psalm 27:14.

A daily regimen of steadfast prayer, and meditation in the word will help keep us focused and open our spiritual eyes to the blessing in it all… we must remember, we are God’s workmanship, this life that we live is not our own; and wherever God has us, or the circumstances that we are enduring… is just where we are supposed to be. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.

Are you being tossed and turned in the rafting boats of life? Take courage, this is only for a season…everything moves by the power of God. Romans 8:28 reminds us that “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. The Lord lovingly orders our steps, and we can rest assured that His word is faithful and true… it will all work out for our good and His glory!

God’s blessings of peace and great mercy by with us all.
