Brand New Mercies

Brand New Mercies

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22

Whenever we begin something new, there is a certain thrill of excitement, and hope for all the good that it will bring with it. Waking up each day, brings renewed hope of God’s faithfulness and blessings. . . the word of God tells us that “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23.

God’s unfailing love and compassion starts us along our way; the slate of life has been wiped cleaned… all things have become new; the old folks would say, and he touched me with His finger of love to see a brand-new day. Every breath that we take comes from God, it is only by His divine will and grace that we have our being. Job 33:4 state “The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

We can lovingly cast our cares and concerns in His hands… surely, our hopes and dreams are built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and His righteousness! So, whatever this new day may bring, let us rest in the security that our Omnipotent and Sovereign God is in control! Romans 8:28 reminds us “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

And, for those rough roads that we may travel…let us cling to the peace and assurance that He will come through, right on time, His time… making all the crooked ways straight – “Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.” Psalm 143:8.

My friends, start this new day extolling and giving God the glory for HIs faithfulness and brand-new mercies… “The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.” Psalm 145:9.

God blessings of peace to all!
