God Will Take Care of You

God Will Take Care of You

“Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” Matthew 6:26.

It is very early in the morning, the crisp air and stillness of the neighborhood brings refreshing thoughts of the new day ahead; and suddenly to my surprise, the tiniest of birds appeared beneath the side of my car, my very next thought was how God provides and protects this small creature, and how much so, will he not faithfully provide all that we need? “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” Matthew 6:26.

The bird appeared so small and defenseless but was busy going about getting something off the ground without a single care in the world; and there are times that life circumstances can make us appear small and defenseless; but this is a blessed assurance, that when you know what you know…and the One who holds your future safe and secure in His powerful hands…will never cease to provide all that you need.

David writes in Psalm 23:1 – “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” It is written with assurance and confidence in the LORD, the provider, protector, and keeper of His soul! He is the same Great Shepherd of the sheep today…and we can walk by faith in His promises knowing that whatever betides us in this life, God will take care of us.

May the words of this old gospel hymn sung by the late Aretha Franklin bring peace and comfort to your soul:

Be not dismayed whate’er betide,

God will take care of you;

Beneath his wings of love abide,

God will take care of you.

Refrain:

God will take care of you,

Through ev’ry day,

O’er all the way;

He will take care of you,

God will take care of you.

Praise be to God…walk in the faith and peace of knowing that God will take care of you!
