I Trust You, Lord

I Trust You, Lord

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Trust can be defined as a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. We place our trust in those who we honestly believe to be trueful in what they say and have our best interest at heart; yet the bible reminds us that God’s fidelity supersedes man’s best attempts to be trustworthy-He alone is faithful and true.  The apostle Paul writes “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.” Romans 3:4.

The Word of God teaches us that “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:1. Unlike humans, God is trustworthy and faithful. He will do what He says “Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:” Hebrews 6:17-18.

God’s faithfulness will keep, protect, and succor us forever; everything moves by His power, and I do not know about you my friends, but I will praise Him and place all my trust and hope in His unchanging hands. This is true, if God says it, that settles it; we can come boldly before His throne of grace assured that He hears and will answer our cries. Proverbs 3:5-6 admonishes us to Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

So, even though we experience the ups and downs of this life, the fact is, the longer that we live, the more that we learn to depend on God’s faithfulness; let us remain steadfast and hold to God’s unchanging hands, we can rest assured that every word, every thought, and every one of His promises are faithful and true. May this be our prayer today:

Dear Lord, please accept my praise and worship unto you… mold me and give me a clean heart to love you and my fellowman-help me to walk in obedience to your will and never forget that You are the One that holds my life safe and secure in your hands now and forever; in You Lord, I will put my trust! Amen.

God peace and unconditional love keep and sustain us all now and forever.
