“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11.  

There are times when God just simply amazes me, especially in those instances when we know without a shadow of a doubt that it could only be God who hears our every cry and work things out in such a way that gives assurance of His loving control in our lives; of course there are those who think that things just happen, or that occurrences are simply the progression of life; but I am a living witness that God has divine providence over all things and Romans 8:28 stands true in all things! “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

The account of King Hezekiah’s prayer for God’s healing and deliverance in 2 Kings 20:4-5  gives evidence of God’s divine providence in the life of His servants- “And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying, Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.”

Can you imagine Hezekiah’s reaction when the prophet Isaiah returned in minutes of announcing for him to put his house in order…he was probably just getting off his face before the Lord…and Isaiah brings the good news that God had heard him and answered his prayer-he was most likely caught off guard and above all simply amazed at the goodness of God- He is closer than the very air that we breathe!

My friends, allow your spiritual insight to show you evidence of what God is doing in all the things around you; God is always working behind the scenes, He answers our calls even before we have finished asking… do you truly believe that there is absolutely nothing in possible with God?

This day- seek God with your whole heart; and no matter what things may look like, He will show up in ways that you least expect it- yes, He is up to something great, and has heard your cries! “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11.
