The Truth

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” John 16:13.

How do you really know that something is true? You must get to the source of the information. . .  the truth is what guides us and keeps us living in righteousness before God and our fellowman. Every born-again believer has eternal life and are indwelt with the Spirit of truth. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” John 16:13. God has given us sixty-six books of the greatest love letter ever told…and it holds the truth!

The truth: Genesis 1:1 state “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”  This is the foundation of all that we believe…you will either believe that God is, or He is not…when we believe that He is the Alpha and Omega, and that He is Creator of all things…everything else in the bible is the truth that governs our walk on this journey of life now and forever.

The truth: Our salvation is safe and secure, the eternal covenant has been ratified by the blood of the sacrifice; Jesus, the Christ, the precious lamb of God, who shed His blood on Calvary’s Cross, and resurrected on the third day morning, reconciling man back to God. We by the witness of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost in heaven have eternal life because by faith we have believed on the only begotten Son of God. “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” 1 John 5:7.

The truth: We are overcomers in this world, whatever comes our way, nothing and no one can separate us from the love of God. Let us be thankful for the atoning work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4.

The truth: God has bestowed innumerous spiritual blessings on His beloved children before the foundations of the world . . . His workmanship. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.

The truth: Therefore, at this very moment and every single day of our lives we have the privilege to come before the Lord, our eternal prophet, High Priest, and King of Kings in prayer. We can cast all our cares and concerns at the foot of the cross… He provides, protects, and hears us when we call. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.

The truth: We have the petitions that we ask for, that are aligned with His will. He hears, and He will answer. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:15-16.

The truth: We are safe in His everlasting arms now and forever. “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” John 10:28.

The Word of God is the truth and our guiding light. In Him we have abundant life; those of us who walk in and cling to the Word of God are promised to be blessed in this life and in the life to come. So, let us hold fast to words of 1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Blessing and peace to us all…the truth will set you free!
