God Will Take Care of You!

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.

Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come, ‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far and grace will lead me home. The lyrics of the familiar hymn resonates in my heart as I consider the trials and tribulations that come with this present age…but victory is assured to every born again believer- for we know that it is nothing but God’s amazing grace that has brought all His beloved children safe thus far….and my friends you can rest assured this day that God will take care of you!

What’s pressing on your heart today-the current political upheaval in our country- an unfavourable prognosis that appears hopeless in the eyes of man, the loss of your job-or not one in sight at all- a divorce or separation from a loved one-these are just a few of the proverbial storms we can face in this life. But, let us regroup and consult with the word of God for peace in the midst of a storm.

The disciples found themselves in a perilous situation on the Galilean Sea. “And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?” Mark 4:37-38. By all conditions and appearances, there was no possible way out; but note that they went to wake up Jesus…Master, carest thou not that we perish?… how could He lie so calmly asleep at such a time as this-they needed His help- does this sound like your situation-but don’t dismay-just as with the disciples, help was nigh!

Jesus immediate response was an action; “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” He spoke three words…that carried all authority and power “Peace, be still.” The wind and the sea had no choice but to obey His will; whenever the Lord says peace…there will be peace!

My friends, we can rest in the assurance that God knows-and He is closer than the very air that we breathe, The One who has all authority in Heaven and on earth has promised-I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee: and praise be to God all things, sicknesses, loss, fear, anxiety, or even political upheaval… whatever may betide our hearts today…must obey His will!

So, stay encouraged…those of us who are kept beneath His wings of love can rest in the sweet peace that God will take care of us! “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.

God will take care of you

Through every day, o’er all the way

He will care for you

May God’s amazing grace of protection and peace keep us all!
