Do You Believe?

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6.

Every born-again believer has a secret power, it is called prayer…when we pray, we mentally step into the spiritual realm of heaven and bring our needs and concerns before the King of Glory. God has promised to hear our request and answer. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:14-15.

Power can be thought of as a force or energy that is exerted towards something or someone to bring about an action…fervent and heartfelt prayer takes energy- it is a pouring out of our very souls before Almighty God; but the question that we each must answer is do we believe that God will do it? “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6.

Everything reverts to one word –faith; faith is believing in what we cannot see, and scripture pointedly tells us exactly how this is possible- Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” It starts with these words: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

My friends, if we believe in God  and that He is the Creator of Heaven and Earth-with whom all things are possible, then every single promise in His Word from Genesis to Revelation is true; and because He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, we can come before Him in prayer, confident that anything that we ask in alignment with His will-is already done! “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Matthew 7:7.

What is heavy on your heart today- do you believe, then “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

What a friend we have in Jesus

All our sins and griefs to bear

And what a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer

God’s amazing grace, unconditional love, and mercy be with us all.
