A New Beginning

A New Beginning

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new   every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23.

Take a moment and think about the crisp cool air outside our doors, the absence of noise and peaceful environment that you hear in the early hours of the morning as you step outside for a walk, run or ride. You enjoy breathing in the fresh air, the calmness and serene peace that it brings to start your day; all of yesterday’s worries are out of mind and briefly on hold as you face a new beginning!

Our spiritual life should excite our senses and mind even more, the Lord promises us that His mercies and compassion are ushered in new to us every morning. “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23.

God’s amazing grace gives us a fresh start each day… regardless to what we did or did not do, failed, or succeeded, through physical, mental, spiritual pain or not; His compassions are unfailing and provides hope, peace, and guidance for us in the day ahead.

Peace of mind and heart is a choice. Assumptions of the future are just that…only God knows and holds the future, He is orchestrating the circumstances of all that is around us. If things were pretty rough on yesterday, it is only because of God’s compassion and mercy that they were not worst! In Him we have the assurance that we are not alone, all of our needs will be provided because He is our everlasting portion, and He is working all things out for our good.

Reality is that things do happen, we do not wake up every morning as some would say, cheery eyed and bushy tailed! but praise God, in those times of affliction, unrest or pain; our hope is in the Lord; Romans 5:3-5 states “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

I admonish you to take a few moments and pull out your faith reports this morning, think back on the goodness of God and all that He has done, and His sweet peace will begin to flood your soul with the assurance that wherever you are and whatever is happening…God has you safe in His arms!

My friends, today is a new beginning, a wonderful gift from God, it comes with the hope for His innumerable blessings… let us stand steadfast in prayer, remain focused and expect God to provide whatever we need for our journey ahead, for surely we can depend on God as the scripture reminds us “Great is thy Faithfulness.”

God blessings of hope, faith and love be with us all.
