A New Thing

A New Thing

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19.

A New Year is already upon us…by the grace of God those of us who have crossed over into 2024 now look for new things to occur, inclusive of God blessings for prosperity, good health, and positive outcomes in all our future endeavors…in short, a Happy New Year!

The word of God gives evidence of God’s divine providence to accomplish something new and wonderous in the lives of His beloved children. “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

The children of Israel were in captivity, and the prophecy was referencing their deliverance from Babylon, but there was greater events or new things…and brighter days ahead… the redemption of all humanity, conversion, and reconciliation through the miraculous love of Christ.

My friends, all of us who are new creatures in Christ are recipients of the ultimate fulfillment given in this prophecy, it extends into eternity. “But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.” 2 Peter 3:13.

So, my prayer for all in 2024 and beyond surpasses the temporal things that we can touch and feel but the spiritual blessings that will enable us all to walk just a little closer with God one day at a time and embrace the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to overcome the subtle onslaughts of the enemy.

Ephesians 3: 14-19 gives us the heartfelt prayer from the Apostle Paul for the brethren- may God bless us all with these same spiritual blessings and the enduring faith to stand on His promises.

“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

God is doing a “New Thing” may His amazing grace, unspeakable joy, peace, protection, and unfailing love be with you all now and forever!
