A Slow Ticking Bomb

“The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” Psalm 121:3-8.

Designed and built in Britain, the Comet was the world’s first passenger jet airliner. It revolutionized air travel and was the pride of the British aviation industry until the first of three crashes happened in March 1953. “One fragment collected from the scene of the crash showed that a crack had developed due to metal fatigue near the radio direction finding aerial window, situated in the front of the cabin roof. The investigators found that a small weakness such as this would quickly deteriorate under pressure and would rapidly lead to a sudden and general break-up of the fuselage.

What were the signs that the airliner had become weak in some places? According to reports based on data collected after the crashes, investigators found signs of metal fatigue. As the aircraft flew to high altitudes and back to the ground, the pressurizing and depressurizing placed repeated stress on the hull, and the hull framings weren’t strong enough. As a result, cracks formed at key areas, such as a radio antenna fitting and a cargo door, and after about 1,000 pressure cycles the hull gave way and the jetliner exploded like a bomb.” -Newsatlas.com

Sometimes you may even feel like you will outright explode! But, my friends, if you are caught up in the pressures of this life, and the enemy is working against all that you can possible see… then just reach back and pull up your faith report- God’s promises are faithful and true-no matter how weak you may feel, or how strong the pressure; let these words ring in your heart: “A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.” Isaiah 42:3.

Know that the Lord God Almighty will never reject, harm, or forsake His beloved children, we are kept safe, and secure by the power of the Holy Ghost- He will restore and strengthen you right in time!
