All Power
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18.
My dear sister in Christ, Mae Lois sings so prolifically the words that resonate in my heart this morning…I can see her swinging and singing in the Spirit…there is power, power, power in the blood-wonder working power in the blood of Lamb!
I am writing to tell somebody that there is power in the blood-and not just any old power…but the word of the Lord tells us ALL POWER!
Jesus appeared after His resurrection to the disciples on a mountain in Galilee-their first response was to fall at His feet and worship Him; “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18. His mission to die for the sins of the whole world was completed…and now all authority was given to Him in heaven and in earth!
So exactly what does all mean- well webster defines it as being whole, entire, total, inclusive of everything or everyone without exception. Now I am not sure about you, but that tells me that the Lord God Almighty has complete and total authority over, in, through whatever way you want to put it…everything! “The earth is the LORD ‘s, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein.” Psalm 24:1.
But you might be saying…what about the house note that is due and my bank account is on zero- tell me about it- or the doctor’s latest prognosis, an upcoming job interview, wayward spouse or child, employer relationships, fear that grips your heart in uncontrollable circumstances…or the comfort needed in the wee hours of the morning?
Oh, my friend, weeping endureth for a night… but praise God, JOY cometh in the morning! Be encouraged, because God’s got it all in in His hands- “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37.
This day, as you go along your way, speak these words to every single circumstance that comes your way- ALL POWER! “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” Psalm 138:8. He is faithful and true and that we can depend on!
Blessings and peace to all!
