Believing is Seeing!

Believing is Seeing!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1.

There is an old 17th century adage that goes: “Seeing is believing!” meaning that when something is witnessed with the natural eye, only then can it really be believed; but that is not spiritual truth– believing in God is seeing in the Spirit– my friends our faith in God gives visibility to the invisible- because with God nothing shall be impossible! Hebrews chapter 11:1 state: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

When God makes a promise – you don’t need to see it-just believe it. Can you imagine the mindset of the Prophet Elijah in the account of his being sustained by a poor widow woman in a drought? God commanded that he get up and go to a city called Zarephath-and he obediently followed where God lead him; there he found the widow woman preparing a meal for her and her son-assured in her mind that it was their last meal prior to starving to death.

Now the account turns to the faith that the widow woman had to display in what Elijah had said… she was to take the little meal and oil that she had and prepare a meal for him; and get this- scripture tells us he stated “For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.” I Kings 17:14.

Don’t miss the blessing in the word of the Lord… “For thus saith he Lord God of Israel…” God said it and that settles it-God’s promises are faithful and true! Elijah brought the message…but God was the provider and sustainer for them all-their bowls never ran dry throughout the entire drought-just when she was about to give up on life for her and her son…God stepped in with a miracle!

I ask you, is there anything in life that you’re just about to give up on-it seems like it is may never happen for you…then it’s time to truly let go and let God take control!!

Listen to these words of the Lord: “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10. Obedience brings blessings!

What has God promised you today-if He promised it, you don’t have to see it-you just need to believe it, because it is already done- our God is almighty, and He is called Faithful and True. You just hold on to your faith, be obedient and follow His commands– because there is a blessing on the other-side of through.

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Deuteronomy 28:2-5.

Blessings and peace…know that God rewards our obedience!
