Choosing to Walk in Power or Pity

Choosing to Walk in Power or Pity

“God is my strength and power: And he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: And setteth me upon my high places. 2 Samuel 22:33-34.

Someone once said, “getting old is not for the fragile minded!” of course the focus of their mindset was on the aches and pains that the process of aging, no matter how fit you are can bring. Some I will suffice it to say will slip deep into despair when facing debilitating illnesses and just simply getting older oppose to the thought of that once youthful mind and body; obviously, this is just how the enemy of our souls would have it to be… making them temporarily forget how truly blessed they are among millions in this world; with age comes wisdom, grace and unspeakable joy that certainly was not there at twenty years old!

Just a slight change in perspective can get the wayward mind back on track “I complained about not having any shoes, until I saw the man that had no feet.” The point is where does your focus lie? We can choose to be pitiful or powerful; to live each day is a blessing from Almighty God, aging is a benefit not given to many; but God’s grace keeps us day by day. “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.

It is a wonderful feeling to know, whether we have reached twenty-six or ninety-six, that you are cared for, provided for, and given the strength to run your race by the One who has all power and will never leave you nor forsake you! “And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Matthew 28:20b.

God’s amazing grace has allowed us to see one more day, know that He will provide all of the grace that we need to face every situation, whether it be physical, spiritual, mental or financial…God’s got this and He is always working behind the scenes, He has great plans for all His beloved children… our daily prayer should be as the scripture state “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalm 119:133.

So, start this brand-new day by giving God the glory in and through all things and choose to walk in His power; seeking to be a beacon of light to others …remember, everybody is going through something, the difference is the One who holds us through it all! “God is my strength and power: And he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: And setteth me upon my high places. 2 Samuel 22:33-34.

Blessings for a wonderful day, chose to walk in power and not pity…for God’s grace is sufficient!
