Empowered by God!

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.’ John 16:13

“In archery, a stabilizer is a general term for various types of weights, usually on rods, mounted on the bow to increase stability to lessen movement on release, thereby increasing precision to hit the target.”Wikipedia.

Instability can be defined as the quality or state of being unstable; lack of stability or firmness. There are various times in life when hardships, lost, uncertainty or feelings of inadequacy can render our thoughts and first reactions as unclear, unstable-and as the enemy would desire outright hopeless  …but-I can’t leave you there!  Our hope is firm and secure .. every born-again believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit our Comforter, Guide, and  Divine Stabilizer! “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:5.

The Spirit of God allows us to clearly see the fiery darts of the enemy and faithfully gives us power to execute God’s holy plan for our lives. Let us rest in the words of Jesus our Lord and Savior: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.’ John 16:13.

Zechariah 4:6 states “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” An angel was explaining to Zechariah the continuous work of God’s Spirit, moving and producing works or results in and through us that are in fact eternal and gives evidence to the world of “whose” we are-God’s beloved children- yes my friends, we are more than conquerors before such a formidable foe! “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” Romans 8:37.

We live in a fallen world where the enemy of our souls, more often than not…causes spiritual instability; but the power of the Holy Ghost keeps us anchored, stable and focused on our true target, which is Jesus! We are empowered with holy fruit from above that gives us the ability to endure and overcome the trials and tribulations of life… we have all that we need to walk in victory. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.

Let us remember as Zechariah was admonished, that it is not by our own power or might…but by the Holy Spirit- our divine stabilizer  who gives us the strength and peace that we need  to run this Christian race in victory; praise be to God for the spiritual stability that only He can provide! “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7.

God blessings and mercy be with you all.
