Facing Our Fears

Facing Our Fears

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10.

Chaos, fear and panic leads to irrational thinking and actions. Fear distorts our vision and takes it off God. The truth is that God is sovereign and has divine providence. Jeremiah 10:12 states “He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.”

Facing the unknown with peace of mind can only be done through faith in God alone. when fear creeps into our minds. we focus on the worst possible things that could happen; as a result, there are those who suffer from mental anxiety and other illnesses that hold them bondage to fear.

God gives us the answer in His word to conquer our fears “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:1.

Let us hold to the truth that God is present with us at all times; He can and will give us strength and empowerment through the Holy Spirit to overcome all the obstacles that we encounter- and no, life doesn’t always happen according to our expectations, but we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us…”For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.

The chaotic circumstances that we presently face throughout this world are ever so daunting, but as Job 42:2 state “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.”  God knows, He cares, and He will be with us always.

If your mind is at unrest, and fear is gripping you at the very core…cast all your cares on Him and hold to the truth that He has all power. He will keep you in perfect peace now and forevermore. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.

Blessings, peace and hold to God’s unchanging hands!
