Fully Rely on God! (F.R.O.G.)

“Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:” Isaiah 26:4.

Sometime ago I visited a yogurt franchise, the name was rather unusual… it was the acronym F.R.O.G which stood for Fully Rely on God. What a great reminder to trust God in and through all circumstances-isn’t it a wonderful blessings to know that we can  always depend on the faithfulness of God?! “Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:” Isaiah 26:4.

It is true,  you either trust God, or you don’t; but those of us who have been washed in the blood of the crucified lamb of God- our one and only Savior, Jesus Christ, know that we must fully rely on God and His amazing grace to walk safely through this journey of life… and even though the road that we travel often takes deep twists and turns that are unforeseeable, we have a faithful and trusted guide every step of the way- that Great Shepherd of the sheep leads the way! “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” Psalm 23:1-2.

All of God’s beloved children have the great assurance of His omnipotence and faithfulness, we are complete in Him…regardless of what goes or comes our way, He can and will preserve us on earth and present us in Heaven-we are safe in the Master’s arms! “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”

Let us find peace, joy and comfort in knowing that God is:

  1. Omniscient– He knows everything there is to know about us. “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5.
  2. Omnipresent– There is nowhere that we can be that He is not…He is with us always. “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:7-10.
  3. Omnipotent– He is sovereign and Lord over all-He has all power! “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18.
  4. The truth– He cannot Lie- as humans we often falter-going  back on what we have said or promised for one reason or another, but God will never leave a promise unfulfilled- He is true and faithful. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.
  5. Unchangeable– And praise be to God in Him there is no variableness– He is the same yesterday, today, and forever more- “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6.

My friends, let us trust in His promises, He will never fail us… especially when the storms of life are raging… we can fully rely on God! “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20.

God’s blessings and peace be with you all!
