God Will Take Care of You!
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.
Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come, ‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home. The lyrics of this familiar gospel hymn resonate deeply in my soul during times of trial. It is nothing but God’s amazing grace that has brought His beloved children safely through thus far. My friends, you can rest assured that God will take care of you today!
When the storms of life weigh heavily on my heart, my mind goes back to the word of God in the account of the disciples in the midst of a storm on the Galilean Sea. “And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?” Mark 4:37-38.
The disciples were in a perilous situation; by appearances, there seemed to be no possible way out, but note that they went to wake up Jesus…”Master, carest thou not that weperish?” How could He lie so calmly asleep at such a time as this? They needed His help!
But then, notice Jesus’ immediate response—one that nothing in Heaven or earth can deny: “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” In response to their plea, He spoke three words that carried all authority and power: “Peace, be still.” The winds and the waves had no choice but to obey His will. Whenever the Lord says peace, there will be peace!
My friends, we can rest in the assurance that God knows, and He is closer than the very air we breathe. He has all authority in Heaven and on earth, and has faithfully promised: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Praise God, all things, sicknesses, fear, unrest, whatever may betide our hearts today…must obey His will!
So, stay encouraged, knowing that because you are kept safe beneath God’s wings of love, you can rest in the sweet peace that He will take care of you. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.
God will take care of you.
Through every day, o’er all the way
He will care for you.
God will take care of you.
