God’s Children

God’s Children

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26

Once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, believing by His atoning blood that we have been justified and reconciled back to God, we become the sons of God. The scripture therefore states the “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ. The Apostle Paul was speaking to the Galatians and assuring them that through salvation there was no separation of Jews and Gentiles; but all are one in the body of Christ.

If we are one in Christ, then we are the children of God. “Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.” Psalm 89:26. Jesus also said, “call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.” Matthew 23:9. When we have established a relationship with our Heavenly Father, we benefit from His unconditional love and become part of His great family.

God has no respecter of person; nationality, economic status or social acclaims are all the same at the foot of the cross. The weak Christian is just as much a child of God as the strong one. One may have more grace than the other, but our Heavenly Father loves us all. His promises are faithful and true to His beloved children whether we are weak, strong, or feeble.

Therefore, at times when we may find our faith to be weak; it is imperative that we pray for God’s strengthening power by the aide of the Holy Ghost. The stronger we are the more glory we may bring to our Father, the more joy and peace we can have on this Christian journey. But, the Christian’s name whose is least in the Kingdom of Heaven, is just as much God’s child as the one who may have the privilege to stand strong with kings. We are all one in Christ and we can praise Him that we fall under the heading of “whosoever” by His amazing grace! John 3:16 states “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

My friends it is settled in Heaven and on earth; all who are saved by the blood of the crucified Lamb of God are secure and safe in His arms forever…we are children of our Eternal God.

May God’s amazing grace and love succor us all!
