God’s Children

God’s Children

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26

There are many social, academic, and even political standings that we may find to be a privilege to be counted among the ranks; but eventually, with time, age, and life in general, they all pass away. There is only one standing that will last throughout eternity and that is having our names written in the lamb’s book of life! Jesus spoke these words to the disciples “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20.

This life is fleeting and there is only one choice that makes all the difference between eternal life and damnation, where you spend eternity. When we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, believing by His atoning blood that we have been justified and reconciled back to God, we become the sons of God. The scripture therefore states the “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ.

If we are one in Christ, then we are the children of God. “Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.” Psalm 89:26. Jesus also said, “call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.” Matthew 23:9. When we have an established relationship with our Heavenly Father, we all benefit from His unconditional love and become part of His great family.

And…praise be to God, He is not a respecter of person; our nationality, economic status or social acclaims are all the same at the foot of the cross. The weak Christian is just as much a child of God as the strong one. One may have more grace at a given time than the other, but our Heavenly Father loves us all. His promises are faithful and true to His beloved children whether we are weak, strong, or feeble. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28.

Know this… the Christian’s name whose is least in the Kingdom of Heaven, is just as much God’s child as the one who may have the privilege to stand strong with kings; we are all precious in His sight…because we all fall under the heading of “whosoever” and recipients of His amazing grace! John 3:16 states “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

My friends it is settled in Heaven and in earth; all who are saved by the blood of the crucified Lamb of God are safe and secure in His arms now and forever…we are children of our Eternal and Almighty God, and heirs of innumerous spiritual blessings from above! “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Romans 8:16-17.

God bless and keep you now and forever!
