God’s Grace is Sufficient

God’s Grace is Sufficient

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.

There are just some things that we must settle in our hearts. God provides peace that surpasseth all human logic…  in the midst of turmoil and the challenges of life, He gently ushers in the strength and grace that we need day by day.

Here are a few assurances that I have settled in my heart that provide me with assurance of His amazing grace is sufficient to keep me strong and in perfect peace, day by day… I am sure you can add more:

  • God is omniscience and knows everything there is to know about me. It is He that has formed me from my mother’s womb. Jeremiah 1:5 states: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
  • He is omnipotent sovereign and can do all things. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1: 37. Today I choose to trust and rest in His loving care, and I will forever put my trust in Him. “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Nahum 1:7.
  • All glory and honor belong to God alone Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.” I Chronicles 29:11.
  • He has a divine plan for my life and guides me in the path of righteousness. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalm 37:23.
  • In times of trouble I can run to the foot of the cross and find safety for my weary soul! “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
  • He is unchangeable “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6.
  • He is omnipresent and will never leave me! Hebrews 13:5 admonishes us “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”.
  • His amazing grace is sufficient! “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.

My friends, have you settled these truths in your heart? Praise God that we can rest in knowing that His grace is sufficient, and He is closer than the very air that we breathe… the lover and comforter of our souls… our constant companion, and our sweet peace forever!

God’s grace and peace to all!
