God’s Masterpiece

God’s Masterpiece

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

I am reminded of the story of a woman who had a beautiful handkerchief; unfortunately, she accidently spilled splotches of dark ink all over it. She was distraught and sadden because the handkerchief had been ruined. One day she shared the incident with an exceptionally good friend who was an artist. He told her to send the handkerchief and let him look at it. After some time, she received a package in the mail from her friend. On opening the package, she was surprised to find the most extraordinary and beautiful sight; he had masterfully created a work of magnificence out of the ruined handkerchief!

Have you ever had moments in your life when you looked back and felt like you have just truly made a real mess of things! It has happened to us all. But we can praise God that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ picked us up one day out of the miry clay and is creating a beautiful masterpiece out of our lives for His glory! Ephesians 2:10 state “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

God has a wonderful way of showing us that His will is the best place to be when we walk in His presence and seek to follow where He leads. He has the master plans and is guiding and orchestrating the events of our lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 admonishes us to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

No, we do not know what the future holds, but we know that our Master holds the future in His powerful hands. We can be confident and assured that He loves us and only has the best of all things instore for His beloved children. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalm 37:23

So, in times of indecision, feelings of unworthiness or facing the unknown future; let us center ourselves on Jesus, trusting in His promises and the knowledge that our Creator, who is to wise to make a mistake and is not finished with us yet…regardless to how we perceive our present or future outcomes, Romans 8:28 holds true “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Everything my friends, begin and end with God; when we remain focus on His will and seek Him first; we can rest assured that our lives, just like that ruined handkerchief, will be a beautiful masterpiece be beyond our greatest belief! The testimony that we have of Job reminds us of the omniscience and divine providence of God in our lives . . . “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10.

God blessings, keep your focus on the Master builder!
