God’s Workmanship

God’s Workmanship

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:3. What are your thoughts when you gaze at the skies above at night? The stars, the moon, and other celestial bodies in the heavens above; we can clearly see them with our natural eye, and they provide heat, light, water, and the necessity to maintain our existence … it is evident that they also exist by our invisible God, who is eternal, infinitely wise, powerful, and good!

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Psalm 19:1. The Psalmist state that their most important job is to declare the glory of God … everything and everyone that is in heaven and in earth, visible and invisible show His omnipotence and glory.

Every day brings our Saviors return even closer; so, do you consider what He will say of the life that you are living? The apostle Paul state “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10. Not only have we been created from the foundations of the world; but God has lovingly given all who accept Him as Lord and Saviora new birth; we are new creatures in Christ Jesus.

The walk of every born-again believer should exemplify the love of Christ within us through the personage of the Holy Spirit;  who leads, guides and helps us to grow spiritually, that we may be fruitful and show forth God’s glory. But God has also given us freedom of will. We have a choice each day to walk as His beloved children or not. Regardless to the choice that we make we will give an account for the things that we do in this life. What will He say to you – servant of God well done or depart from me they worker of iniquity?

Let us pray for God to keep our minds, hearts, and actions steadfast in proclaiming His glorious work in all things; allowing Him to use us for His glory to touch the lives of others that they too may come to His saving grace. Lifting our dear sisters and brothers up in the Word, songs, prayer and positive affirmations of God’s lovingkindness to keep, guide and provide for us always.

And above all, knowing that we are His beloved children and sheep of His pasture; may we pray as the Psalmist prayed in psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” As His workmanship…  let us walk like it, talk it and praise like it now and forever!

God’s peace, love and grace be with you always…and don’t let Him catch you with your works undone!
