Good Triumphs Over Evil

Good Triumphs Over Evil

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39.

Can you remember as a small child on the playground or immediately after school, it was about to go down… a fight was about to start. There was always the one that was eager to get started and would announce, “the baddest man hit my hand!” as a crowd of children looked on. Some time the bigger and meanest kid won and sometimes the small, quiet kid took the victory. . . Every day of our lives we are in a constant battle between good and evil. The good news is that God wins every time…Good always triumphs over evil.

Unfortunately, the enemy of our souls seek to blind us to the fact that we are in a spiritual warfare; obviously, if we misplace our energy on fighting the wrong opponent, like people, and things, we are at a disadvantage. Scripture tells us “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12. How do we fight against such a formidable foe, especially one that is invisible to the natural eye?

We are not in this fight alone, and when God shows up…He wins every time. In Romans 8:38-39, the Apostle Paul stated that he was persuaded or totally convinced that nothing could separate us from the love of God. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.“ The angels, principalities, powers listed in this scripture are those under the auspices of Satan’s demonic rule, they seek to undermine our love, trust and faith in God. But we have no call to be dismayed…God rules and governs all; and through the power of the Holy Ghost, we can see and overcome all of the devils’ invisible onslaughts

My friends, the only power that the enemy of our souls have is what God allows…are you convinced or persuaded like Paul in the omnipotence and love of God? There is absolutely nothing that can harm us when we are under the protective shadow of the Almighty.  So, let us fight on in the strength and power of God; regardless to what our fight may look like from the world’s viewpoint…we are victorious in Jesus! “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-11. God wins…

Psalm 91:5-6 reminds that no weapon formed against shall prosper…Satan may set his traps…but they just won’t work!

“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday…fight the good fight of faith today!
