He is Able to Do it!

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20.
The word able is defined as having the power, skill, means, or opportunity to do something: My grandson Ezail is nine-years-old, he never ceases to prove to me that he is able to lift, move, or complete heavy task…and sure enough, he faithfully carries through as he promised, showing me that He’s able to do it!
The third book of Ephesians ends with a soul-inspiring doxology. The Apostle Paul’s preceding prayer request for the Ephesian saints was bold and seemingly impossible; but he concludes with these words: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20.
Be encouraged in this truth- that regardless to how things appear God is able to do it. Let us look closer at this wonderful affirmation of God’s omnipotence to carryout whatever it is that needs to be done.
The Apostle Paul directs our attention to the very present tense-now– right at this time, whatever it is that you need; focus on the One to whom praise, honor and glory belongs, because He-meaning God- is omnipotent and able to perform, carry out, and provide all that we could ever possibly need. The scripture continues and says He does it exceeding or extreme and abundantly- meaning more than sufficiently and in great supply- and He does it above all that we ask or think, which supersedes anything the human intelligence can even imagine!
My Lord, it is what one commentator calls super abundant blessings from God! The verse concludes with the words, according to the power that worketh in us…that is the power of the Holy Ghost that resides in every born-again believer; He is El Shaddai-Almighty God-the All Sufficient One!
So, I ask you again, what is it that you need- know that God’s got it, you just ask . . . whether it is spiritual, mental, physical, or financial… it is all in His hands. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.
My friends, may God give us the strength to remain steadfast, trusting in His omnipotence and faithfulness…He’s able to supply all that we need!
