He is Faithful and True

He is Faithful and True

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” Revelation 19:11.

I gave my heart to God as a teenager; away from home for the first time in college was a true learning experience. There were many wonderful and youthful encounters with others from different walks in life. There were also many times that pushed me closer to God and definitely to stay on my knees.

When I look back on those experiences in my life, I can see from hindsight that God’s loving and protective hands has been guiding me along this life’s journey and molding me for His glory each day. It keeps me anchored and remindful that I am a work in progress and God has the master plan. “But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.” Isaiah 64:8.

Comfort, peace, and guidance can be found in His Word; here are just a few of His promises that stay before me each day:

  • John 10:27 (KJV) – “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” Every born-again believer knows and recognize when God speaks to their hearts. There is power in His name when the Creator speaks to the creation…. everything humbly submits to His calling.
  • Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) – “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” We can come freely before His throne of grace in prayer; it is a privilege given to us by our Saviors atoning work on the cross.
  • Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV) – “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” If we call on Him, He will answer!
  • Revelation 19:11 (KJV) – “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” He is faithful to His promises and His character is true…He is the way the truth and the life.
  • Matthew 28:20 (KJV) – “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” We all have a job- a calling to fulfill -spreading the gospel to this dark world that men may freely come to His glorious light of salvation; and praise God, we can rest in the assurance of His abiding presence forever!

God is never failing my friends; I cannot even begin to count the numerous times that I have fallen on my knees to call on the Lord in prayer. every single time He speaks to my heart; He lovingly comforts, corrects, and guides me in His Word, leading me in the paths of righteousness. This should be no surprise… Psalm 37:23 tells us “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”

Mere words are not sufficient or even worthy to describe our great and almighty God…He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent; we can safely trust and hold to His unchanging hands; if God said it, that settles it-period. The only way to a blessed and spirit filled life is to follow where He leads, we can trust and depend on God today and forever, because He is faithful and true!

Blessing for a wonderful day ahead, and let us give God the praise, honor and glory for His goodness and mercy!
