He Won’t Let You Down!
“And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. “Psalm 9:10.
To be sad or displeased because someone or something has failed to fulfill one’s hopes or expectations is what we simply call having been let down, or disappointed; and we’ve all been there before, but the good news is that to be “let down” is not, and never will be associated with The Great Shepherd of the sheep… our Lord God Almighty! “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20.
Every single promise of God comes true in Christ, they are trustworthy commitments from God. However, it is human nature for man to waver between our “yes, no, and even maybe thinking- but God performs what He promises, and we can count on Him; For His Word is faithful and true, and we can rest in the assurance that there is no uncertainty in what He promises. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.
God has given us sixty-six books of the greatest love letter every written- the Bible; in it are innumerable unfailing promises from God…are you waiting on God to fulfill a promise in your life today… maybe you’ve been waiting a long time, even years…but I suggest that you turn over and read the comforting words of Psalm 27:14 “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” God hasn’t forgot you!
His timing is not our timing…but He always come through in due time (that’s His time!)- so trust in His faithful promises and hold to His unchanging hands…He won’t let you down!
