Sorrow of the heart and all other emotions that render us in need of comfort pushes us ever so close to Jesus…in the sanctity of His love, peace and comfort we can run to find shelter from the cares and hurts that come with this life. Matthew 11:28 states: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

 In such times may God help us to envision the tiny sparrow, for as small as a sparrow is- nothing happens to a sparrow without God’s knowledge and permission, which reminds us that if His eye is on that tiny little sparrow, then we can rest assured that He watches over us!  “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1

The word of the Lord tells us that He is the God of all comfort…He knows exactly what you are experiencing at any given moment…mere man is unable to reach way down deep in the soul, comforting, strengthening and giving just the right amount of grace that you need to keep standing in the midst of your current circumstances, but God is faithful who will do it! “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Hear these words of comfort…Isaiah 51:12 a state: I, even I, am he that comforteth you. Great is the mercy of God-wherever you are in life right at this moment…He is there comforting, reassuring and providing you with all the grace that you need to keep standing- because He is faithful… even through your pain, your tears…He will bring you joy. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5b.

And let me bring to witness God’s humble and submissive servant Job… who suffered and loss much at the permissive will of God…and His testimony was such as this- “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10. God has a plan that far exceeds what our eyes can see- trust in His faithfulness and hold to His unchanging hands…He will take care of you! “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1.

Gods got His eyes on you- He loves you and He will wipe away all your tears…. Civillia D. Martin worte these words in the 2^nd stanza of:  His Eye is on the Sparrow:

     Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,

And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;

    Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;

His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;

His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Rest today in the love and peace of the Lord God Almighty…He is the all Sufficient One!
