His Promises Fail Not!
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV).
The English language has many rules. Consider the word guarantee, a noun that serves as a promise. However, the same word, when used in its past participle form, guaranteed, can serve as an adjective, describing an action that makes a firm promise and indicates no doubt about the outcome. And there is only One who can make such a promise-the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!
In life, we have all received promises that were not kept. But I stopped to encourage someone today that where human strength fails, we have a sure hope in God’s promises- because His promises fail not! The Word of the Lord in (Numbers 23:19) states: “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
Whatever God has promised, because of who He is and always will be, our response should be “amen”—so be it. He is sovereign and faithful, His promises never fail! “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV.)
The value of any promise is as good as the one who has promised! And my friends, there is none like God! What has He promised you today? Stay encouraged, and hold on, for He will come through!“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD”.
Life’s trials and tribulations can seem never-ending, but in the midst of it all, we have a promise that will last forever!” For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5 KJV.) And let’s not stop there, for (Psalm 139:8-10 KJV) reminds us: “If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” Hallelujah! God is with us no matter what!
So, even when all else fails, and it seems that every ounce of your sinew and strength is gone- remember that God is faithful! “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it” ( 1 Thessalonians 5:24). That’s His guarantee, and it was sealed by His own blood on the cross, and He has all power!
Rest in the assurance that He is preparing you for something far greater than the eyes can see- you only need to wait! “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31KJV.)
God’s blessings of strength, and peace be with us all!
