“and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20b.

There was a beautiful young woman who walked home alone each day, so the story goes; and a young man desired to walk with her, but she refused each time; of course, he was feeling rejected, especially since he knew she walked alone…however, each time he asked, her response to his inquisition as to why she refused was… “I am never alone.”

What a beautiful testimony of faith; regardless to where this young woman walked…she knew that the Lord was with her each step of the way. Are we so faithful to cling to the knowledge that no matter what comes or goes in our lives, we are never alone? The promises of God are faithful and true, He spoke these words to His disciples which are just as true for us at this very moment… “and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20b.

As we walk this journey of life, regardless to the twist and turns that we must take…remember the words of the old spiritual…no, never alone…He promised never to leave me alone. Our Comforter lives within and will keep us in perfect peace of mind and heart; and during the darkest times along the way; He will carry us safely through.

David expressed these comforting words to our souls “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4.

So, whether we are up on top of a mountain, or way down deep in a valley, let us hold to God’s unchanging hands. . . His grace is sufficient! “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.

My friends, we walk by faith and not some whimsical thought or fancy…but of a proven and tried faith of all that God has done in ages past, and continues to do in our lives from the moment of our conception…I am a living testimony to His amazing grace and keeping power…so today as I travel along this journey of life…I am like the young woman, I will cling to the comforting knowledge that “I am never alone!” what about you?

My friends the Lord God Almighty is omnipresent, and we are never alone!

When in affliction’s valley I tread the road of care,
My Savior helps me carry the cross so heavy to bear;
Though all around me is darkness, earthly joys all flown;
My Savior whispers His promise, never to leave me alone!

May the blessings of God’s peace, strength, and comfort be with us all.
