I am So Satisfied

I am So Satisfied

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Luke 6:46.

I am so satisfied with my Savio, He means more to me than anything, Anything that this world could ever offer me… beautiful lyrics from a familiar gospel hymn entitled, So, Satisfied by Luther Barnes. The world offers many selfish desires; ““““but none truly satisfy the soul. God’s grace and unconditional love is more than we can even imagine and yes, I am so satisfied for how He cares for me…but oh Lord, is He satisfied with me?

The word my is a possessive pronoun…it denotes ownership- the song states my Savior– referencing the One who gave His very life for the salvation of the whole world, and I have accepted Him as my Lord-the One who has authority over my life…this is the stance of every born-again believer who has submitted to Jesus the Christ, God’s only begotten Son!

What does the word of God tell us about those things that are pleasing in the sight of our Lord? The scriptures give us an analogy in Matthew chapter twenty five of the sheep on the right hand of the Lord, and the goats on the left: “Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hundred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” Matthew 25:34-36.

And…to those on His left hand, who were negligent and refused to help his neighbor: “Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” Matthew 25:45-46.

My friends, it all boils down to love…God is love, and to please Him is to love Him. Let us take introspection of how we show our response to God’s love for us and others…be careful, the things that you do, say, and feel in your heart about others…is being done to God…why, because saved or unsaved. we are all His creation.

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbors as thyself.” Matthew 22:37-39.

Yes, I am so satisfied with my Savior, but is my Savior satisfied with me “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Luke 6:46. May God help us to love one another; treating all men with grace, and compassion…thinking twice before we speak, helping someone who may have fallen on the wayside of life… and to give selflessly of our time, talents, and treasures!

God blessings and peace be with us all.
