Is God Pleased with the Way We Live?

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24

The lyrics to a popular gospel song state “What if God is unhappy with our praise- what if He is not pleased with the words we say, and the way we live?” We readily testify that we are pleased with the blessings and love of God; but our heart’s must be humble and seek to pleasing in the sight of the Lord.

God knows the intent of every heart; He knows all the ins and outs, every little crease and cervice…there is nothing that we can hide from God… do we really mean it when we say “I surrender all;” My friends, when we choose to let go and let God have free reign in our lives, the miraculous grace and mercy of our loving Savior, gives us strength, comfort, and peace to run this Christain race.

Is God pleased with the way we live, are we trying to please man rather than God-does He really get the glory in all that we do? We must always keep these questions before us…He alone deserves all the glory! “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31.

Let us humble ourselves before Almighty God, striving each day to stay focused, steadfast in prayer, to keep on working; allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our words and actions to reflect the Christ that lives within us; no one ever said this road would be easy…but the Lord has brought us this far…and He will never leave us; with and through Him we can do all things.

And it is with constant prayer and hope that one day we will receive a great reward and here these words: “His lord said unto him, Well donegood and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:23.

God blessings of peace be with us always!
