Just Ask!

Just Ask!

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:14-15.
In my mind I can still hear my dad’s voice so clearly as he often asked my mom what she wanted back from the store for dinner; she would quickly reply “anything, Elrie” but, dad would reply they don’t sell anything Dorothy- so you need to tell me what you want! Lol… The scriptures teach us that we have not because we ask not. “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.” James 4:2.
God is omniscient and knows exactly what we need. But we are not robots, and every child of God has an intimate relationship with Him. He admonishes us to call on Him in prayer and He will answer. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3.
Asking teaches us to humbly recognize that all things whether temporal or spiritual come from God and that we should faithfully depend on Him to provide what we need; and not only are we to seek His guidance, provisions, and protection; but He promises to reveal to us things that we do not really understand.
The key to answered prayers is that they must be asked according to His will… and when you’re aligned with God’s will, all you need to do is just ask! “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:14-15. When we pray for the will of God to be done, it is a given… what God promises He fulfills. it is true that the value of any promise is as good as the promiser, Numbers 23:19 states “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” God never fails, He makes good on every promise!
Friends, God orders the steps of His beloved children, and we can rest assured that when we fall on our knees and fervently ask anything according to His will…He will faithfully answer! Sometimes He answers yes, no or wait, but He always answers. So, what are you in need of today? 1 Peter 5:7 states “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” He hears and loves us …  He  is waiting for us to just ask; and you know what- He will even exceed our greatest expectations . . . “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20.
God abundant blessings and mercy be with us all.
