Live It!
“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.” 2 Corinthians 3:2-3.
Prayer is a wonderful gift that we have from God… it is impossible to pray for ourselves without praying for others. So, as I fall on my face before the Throne of Grace each day…my heartfelt prayer for all my family and friends is for them to seek God first– His will in and through all things. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33.
I desire that God grant them understanding, wisdom, and peace that surpasseth all understanding; knowing that when they take everything to God in prayer…no matter what life circumstances bring their way, He will provide all that they need!
So, I continue to ask the Lord to mold and mend their hearts more towards Him…then I ask. Lord, how can I help, and the Holy Spirit reminds me to Live it! Wow, that’s a charge to keep that every born-again believer has…our lives should be examples of whose we are. “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” 1 John 2:6.
The Apostle Paul expressed his heartfelt affection for the saints in Corinth, he recognized that their “new life” in Christ was a living testimony to the power and work of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:2-3 states “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.”
An epistle is an official document or letter…Paul said their epistles were written in his heart, and known and read by all men. . . what about us- can the same be said about our lives as beloved children of God? “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25. Actions speak a lot louder than words!
May God help us all to Live it . . . to be living epistles that others can read, marked by the presence of the Holy Spirit, and reflecting the love of God’s amazing grace!
Peace and blessings to all!
