Never Give Up!

Never Give Up!

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” 2 Corinthians 4:8

Giving up is never an option for the child of God; things can become quite challenging, and it appears as though we just cannot hang on any longer; that is when our inner strength steps up from our Comforter, the Holy Ghost! He reminds us in the words of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

What a blessing to know that the power of the Holy Ghost indwells every born-again believer, empowering us with divine strength, giving us the ability to cling to our hope and faith in God, recognizing that regardless to our circumstances at any given time, we are overcomers. “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. And God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”  1 corinthians 10:13.

This is life and the truth is, trials and tribulations will come…but we cannot truly appreciate the view from the mountain top, if we have never really been way down deep in the valley.  What we do know and have the assurance that our steps are ordered by the Lord, every victory or failure is guided by the Masters hands…He is preparing us from something greater…but our weary eyes just can’t see it at the moment-so, let us take consolation in the words of Job 23:10  “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”

And when we find ourselves going through uncharted and rough waters, we must remember that there is purpose in our pain… our deliverance will come right on time!  “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” 2 Corinthians 4:8. Praise be to God, we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord!

My friends- if this message speaks to your heart today, if you’ve been trying to navigate your way though unsurmountable challenges..then trust and hold on to God’s unchanging hands-He knows all about it and as the old hymn goes, “Jesus will fix it after while!”  He is our joy, peace and hope for every tomorrow! “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.” Psalm 42:5.

Take heart, regardless to whether on the pinnacle of a mountain top or way down in the deepest valley, we  can run on and see what the end will be… confident in the omnipotence and faithfulness of Almighty God. . . “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1.

God blessings of grace, peace, and strength be with us all…never give up!
