Our Shield of Protection

Our Shield of Protection

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.

The Greek word for angels is anggelos, which means messenger. As we travel along this journey of life, we are unable to see the next step, twist or turn that our path takes, but what a comfort in knowing that God, who orders our steps has dispatched His holy angels of protection to watch over all His beloved children. “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Psalm 91:11.h

In a moment in a twinkling of an eye accidents happen out of nowhere; certainly we have all had our share; I have severe osteoarthritis in my lower extremities, and unable to bear much weight on my knees and right ankle, but I am very independent and continue on with life as though they all work just fine, yesterday afternoon I was in a very unfamiliar environment: I left my car with the valet at the hospital and proceeded to my appointment, only to be told that I was in the wrong building, but no worries a shuttle would take me over across the Island to building 409.

The shuttle arrived, a small golf cart like vehicle and I assumed I was on my way…but, the driver stated, we do not go over to 409, you will have to catch the employee bus over, what??? That is what immediately went through my mind…okay…ma’am you have driven me away from the entrance and back under some over path and now I have to stand here and wait on a bus?…needless to say when the bus came I had to get up those stairs…that didn’t happen, after the first step up, on the next moment I fell down to the knees and back…but thanks be to God…the people behind me with several men, caught me from falling back on my head to the street below, they were able to get me up and back to a bench.

I am sharing just to remind someone that God is faithful to every promise, He promised that He would  never leave us or forsake us, and that He would be a shield of protection around us…I may have been in a place around total strangers…but God was right there with me…those people did not have to shield me from falling back off that bus entrance to the street below…but GOD was working through the process, He was protecting me every step of the way; and the most memorable part of the incident to me was when the security car came to get me, there was a very attractive dark young women who came out of nowhere next to me, she said ma’am would you please let me help you get in there, there was a comfort in her tonality, touch, care, and smile that put me at ease-GOD’s angel of protection!

My mother would always reminded us that it is just nice to be nice, treat others the way you would desire to be treated…we have no idea, who you will need in this life; I truly believe that God sent His angels of protection to me on yesterday in the form of those people and especially that young women; I wasn’t alone…the Lord God Almighty is faithful and true…regardless to the circumstances or where we are in life, He is closer than the very air that we breathe and He will take care of us. “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2.

My friends, rest in the loving and protective care of our Heavenly Father in and through it all …hold to His unchanging hands, knowing that He is with you every step of the way! “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.

  1. Praise The Lord!!!👏🏽👏🏽. I was just studying this morning about how God speaks through circumstances and then I read your message for today.

My sister, from one who has personally known you for about 30 years or more, He has worked more in your life with physical challenges than when you were skipping and running.

The praise worthiness is that so many of us has been blessed abundantly because of your prayers, teachings and writings and your leadership. TGBTG 🙏🏽✝️❤️🙏🏽🥰

    1. You said it my sister…nothing but God who had kept me and keeping me every second of the way! To Him we give the glory for using us both to His glory and for the benefit of others! Blessings and love,
