Peace on Earth!

Peace on Earth!

“For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;” Ephesians 2:14.

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me…is the opening lyrics to the soul stirring song “Let there be Peace on Earth.” This is a great admonition, but true peace, God’s peace, the Prince of Peace, and praise God, our Peace. . .came into this world in the fullness of time, in the personage of God’s only begotten Son-Jesus Christ! “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;” Ephesians 2:14.

Since the fall of man, sin placed enmity between God and man, separating us from His love and presence. But by His amazing grace, He lovingly provided a way for our reconciliation with Him “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

God promises are faithful and true, His plan of our redemption began at the foundation of the world, “Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:” Hebrews 10:5. He sent the only One worthy to be the judge and justifier, the peacemaker and reconciliation between God and man; and by Jesus’ shed blood on the cross- all men have the choice to receive His free give of eternal life!

The angelic host who gives praise and worship to God in the heavens, appeared on earth the night of our Saviors birth, praising, and worshiping the Messiah, the anointed One, the Lord, God Almighty, who had come to all people! “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11.

Glory to God my friends, our peace is Jesus, and He gives internal, external, and eternal peace to all who have and will accept Him as Lord and Savior! “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:17. Truly, without Jesus there is no peace, those of us who know Jesus, have the peace of God that passeth all understanding!

So, as we celebrate and give gifts to our family, and friends this holiday season, let us proclaim the good news, the greatest gift of all- the Prince of Peace saves to utmost! “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.

Blessings, peace, and joy to all!
