Prove Me Now!

Prove Me Now!

A conditional clause indicates the circumstances under which another clause is true or occurs. It is the ‘if’ part of an ‘if-then’ statement. In the Word of God, there are both unconditional and conditional clauses to His commands. Malachi 3:10 provides for us an account of a conditional clause given to the House of Israel.

Malachi 3:7-10 gives an account of Israel’s rebellion and disobedience in failing to follow God’s ordinances. But God lovingly responds in verse ten with a conditional clause: “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10.

The condition was that if they would bring the tithes and offerings required by the Lord into His house, they would be showered with spiritual blessings from Heaven. The word of God says they we’re to prove His promises, meaning to establish its truth, genuineness, or validity. The value of a any promise is as good as the promiser. God is faithful who promised!

Therefore, when our Almighty and Everlasting God makes a promise, we can rest in the assurance that He is faithful and true to His word, just as they could back then! “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.

Is God calling on you to prove Him in an area of your life today? Choose to trust in His omnipotence and unconditional love…He has only the best in store for all His beloved children. I am a living witness and testify that God has and will always exceed our greatest expectations. Let us rest in the confidence, that regardless of how fierce the winds of life may blow, God will faithfully deliver us! “And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” Isaiah 46:4.

God’s blessings of peace, strength, and amazing grace keep us all.
