Speak Lord

Speak Lord

“So, then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17.

There are many individuals who confess that they do not experience God speaking to them; however, God has provided the way for us to hear a word from the Lord. Romans 10:17 state “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” The Word of God enlightens us through the power of the Holy Spirit to guide, correct, and comfort us. God speaks to our hearts…we must be willing to come expectantly before His throne of grace to listen.

If we are to seek the comfort of God and His directions, we must be willing to commit to a life of consecrated prayer and bible study. Prayer is our direct communication with God- as born-again believers we can come boldly before His throne of grace. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3.

God speaks my friends but are we willing to open our hearts and receive His word? Hebrews 1:1-2 state “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” God’s Word provides all that we need!

1 Peter 2:2 admonishes us “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” We must diligently commit to studying our bibles… if we seek knowledge, understanding, and wisdom…God will give it. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5.

My friends, God is the comforter and lover of our souls… He knows exactly how and when to send a word when we desperately need it the most. 1 Samuel 3:10 gives the account of the Lord speaking to the prophet Samuel… “And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.” Jesus is tenderly calling, are you willing to answer as Samuel did…speak, for thy servant heareth; if so, then you will freely receive a word from the Lord!

God blessings and peace to all.
