The Breaking Point

The Breaking Point

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”  Joshua 1:9

Are you facing any obstacles today that seem insurmountable? There comes a point in life when we’re oblivious as to which way to turn. You find yourself asking questions like, how can I do this or pleading for strength to make it through one more day- it appears as if you can barely hold on and will literally break. But praise God, help is just a prayer a way!

Just when we think that we can’t go any further and we feel that we’re definitely at the end of our rope; that’s the very point, where we must step out of self and release it all to God. In the Book of Joshua, God encourages him with assurance in these words “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9.

The Lord appointed Joshua to succeed Moses to lead the Israelites into the Promise Land-this was certainly not an easy feat. But over and over God provided Joshua with encouragement, assurance, direction and numerous victories to possess the promise land. His words to Joshua still ring just as true for us today; He will always provide divine direction, protection and comfort for His beloved children. “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Joshua 1:5.

My friends, obedience to the word of the Lord,  brings assurance of success in whatever He has commanded us to do-we can fully rely on God to see us through-so, when life pushes you to that breaking point just STOP:

  • Seek Him in prayer – (Release it to God)
  • Trust in His promises- (He is faithful and true)
  • Obey and follow His commands- (Success is assured when we walk in His will)
  • Praise him for the victory- (Give Him the honor and glory in all things)

It is our Christ that lives within us through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. who  provides all the power and strength that we need to run this Christian race; let us hasten to the foot of the cross, where His love, peace and amazing grace abounds forever!

May God’s loving-kindness keep you in perfect peace.
